Training on job can be provided in several ways. On-the-job training (OJT) is among the many ways that can be selected by a firm to deliver the required knowledge and skills for the workforce. It is among the earliest training forms. On-the-job training is situated at the site of job. OJT can be regarded as teaching the required competencies, knowledge, and skills for employees in order for a specific job to be performed in an environment of work and workplace (Heathfield, 2018).
